Trimester Schedule

• Westfield High School follows a trimester schedule, dividing the academic year into three sessions—fall, winter, and spring—each lasting approximately 12–13 weeks.
• Classes are 67 minutes long and meet five days a week. Each day, except Wednesday, includes a 35-minute CORE period focused on building skills for students to become Life Ready and ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
• The school day runs from 8:35 a.m. to 3:39 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, a late start schedule is observed, with classes beginning at 9:05 a.m.
• Three 30-minute lunch periods are held during third period each day. Students have seven minutes between classes for passing time.
