Course Description: Basic Skills Development 9/10

Basic Skills Development is a course designed for students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).  The students that participate in the class are on a Diploma Track.  The course is designed to support the general education curriculum. The students earn one credit for the course. Each trimester, there is a focus on a skill that is necessary for the student to succeed within their classes and in their future. Topics included in the curriculum include organizational skills, writing skills, comprehension skills, social skills, math skills, assignment completion skills, etc.  Along with the curriculum, students receive additional instruction, (small group/one-on-one), in order to assist with the general education classes.
