Westfield High School

"Knowing history is an enlargement of the experience of being alive, just the way
literature or art or music is."   --David McCullough, historian

"I will prepare, and someday my chance will come."   --Abraham Lincoln

I'm Lynn Lazzara, and I teach U.S. History and AP U.S. History at Westfield High School, where
I've taught since 1989. I'm a life-long resident of central Indiana. In fact, I'm an 8th generation
Hoosier. My original Hoosier ancestor was a Revolutionary War veteran who came to Indiana
sometime before the 1820 census. So, I come from a very long line of life-long Hoosiers!
I graduated from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis. I have a bachelor's degree (BS)
in History and English from Ball State University and a master's degree (MEd) in Education from
Indiana Wesleyan University.
Westfield has changed quite a bit since I started teaching here in 1989, but it was then and it
remains a fantastic place for teaching, learning, and growing. Forever proud to be a Shamrock!!
