Welcome to my staff page! My name is Kristy Busack and I am a counselor for students with the last names beginning with A and all students who receive special education services. I came to Westfield High School in August of 2001 as a special education teacher. I worked mainly with students with emotional and behavioral struggles in partial to full self-contained settings on the regular academic curricula. Focusing on coping strategies, anger management, social skills, study skills, and organizational skills, while keeping up with the general ed. curricula, my goal was to empower each student to reach their potential and achieve his/her goals. My passion for working with at-risk youth led me to the counseling field. After completing my master's degree in school counseling, I was blessed to be able to transition from my teaching position into a school counseling role at WHS in August of 2007. The staff, students, parents, and community are what makes Westfield High School the best place to be!
