French Club

Bonjour!  Welcome to French Club!

French Club meets on Thursdays during 6th period in Room 2209. Please email me for our next meeting date or listen for it to be announced on the announcements.

You do not have to take French to join. The club is a fun way to learn more about French culture through various activities like making crepes, celebrating mardi gras, and watching French movies.
What have we been up to during the 2016-17 school year:
This year, the Club is being run exclusively by student officers (sophomores through seniors) with the sponsorship of the French Instructor, Kemmie Mitzell. The students have chosen to take it upon themselves to organize meetings, create cultural education powerpoints to share with members, and prepare francophone foods for each meeting. We also cover administrative matters, such as taking attendance, keeping track of active members, recruiting, t-shirts, and sharing of French cultural events taking place in the Indianapolis area courtesy of Kemmie's connections with the Alliance Francaise of Indianapolis. French Club has been a HIT this year - we have had 25-35 people in attendance at each meeting so far, and all have walked away very happily with more French knowledge and food and drink in their bellies. Students often ask when the next meeting will be. We plan to keep the momentum up this last trimester, and next year, too... venez nous rejoindre pour laisser les bons temps rouler!
